What Do Heart & Cardiac Tests Check For?
Cardiac tests look for warning signs of heart disease and measure how well your heart and blood vessels are functioning.
Our standard panel includes:
- Electrocardiogram (ECG): Measures electrical activity of the heart, detects irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias) or past heart attacks
- Cholesterol & Lipid Profile: Total cholesterol, LDL (“bad” cholesterol), HDL (“good” cholesterol), triglycerides
- Blood Pressure Measurement – at rest and optionally with 24-hour monitoring
- HbA1c or Fasting Glucose: To assess risk from diabetes
- High-Sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP): A marker of inflammation linked to cardiovascular risk
- Cardiac Enzymes (if symptomatic): Troponin, CK-MB – may be ordered in chest pain or emergency scenarios
- Chest X-ray / Echocardiogram: Referral available for further evaluation
