Sprained Ankle
Inversion or twisting of the ankle, often during sports or uneven walking surfaces. Causes pain, swelling, bruising, and difficulty bearing weight on the affected ankle.
Achilles Tendinitis
Overuse or repetitive stress on the Achilles tendon, common in runners or athletes. Causes pain and stiffness along the back of the ankle towards the heel, especially after physical activity.
Peroneal/Tibialis Posterior tendonitis
Pain on the outer/inner pars of the ankle respectively can be due to overuse or repetitive stress of the tendons of the ankle stabilisers (Peroneal and/or Tibialis Posterior tendons).
Arthritis
Both Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis can occur in the ankle. Cause joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and reduced range of motion. Often seen in older adults.
Plantar Fasciitis
Inflammation of the plantar fascia, often due to overuse, improper footwear, or biomechanical issues. Causes heel pain, especially in the morning or after prolonged periods of rest.
Flat Feet (Pes Planus)
Lack of arch support due to genetic factors, injury, or muscle weakness. Causes pain and fatigue, often in the arch or heel.
