Comprehensive Brain Health Screening
As we age, our risk of dementia increases, especially for those with chronic conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol.
In Singapore, 1 in 10 seniors over 60 is affected by dementia—a condition caused by irreversible brain damage with no known cure. Dementia isn’t just about memory loss. It can impact language, decision-making, attention, and even the ability to carry out simple daily tasks like shopping or managing finances. Depending on the subtype, it may also lead to personality changes, aggression, or even hallucinations, making it difficult for both the patient and their loved ones.
Early screening is crucial. Detecting cognitive decline early allows for better management, lifestyle adjustments, and support systems to slow progression and improve quality of life. At Regis Medical, we don't just provide dementia screenings tailored for seniors, but our entire service journey includes anticipatory planning such as LPA certification, ACP/AMD Discussion.
Dementia Screening (MRI Dementia)
The Brain Health Screening package includes MRI Brain (Dementia Protocol). MRI dementia screening is an useful diagnostic tool for the early detection and assessment of dementia. By providing detailed and high-resolution images of the brain, MRI scans can identify structural changes, abnormalities, and potential indicators of dementia, such as shrinkage in specific brain regions. This advanced imaging technique enables us to diagnose structural causes of dementia , facilitating timely intervention and better management of the condition.
