General Enquiry

What languages do Regis Medical GP Doctors speak?

Most of our doctors are competent in English and Mandarin. Some doctors are able to speak Bahasa. Our clinic assistants are also multi-lingual and proficient in English, Mandarin and Malay.

Why are employers not allowed to be present during the medical examination?

This is to ensure a neutral environment for the medical examination.

Is there still home-based 6ME services available?

In accordance with MOM guidelines, all home-based 6ME services are suspended from 29th August 2021 onwards. 6ME medical examinations MUST be conducted physically in a clinic by a Singapore registered Doctor.

You can book a 6ME for your FDW with Regis Medical GP Clinics here.

What happens if my FDW cannot leave the house because I have elderly parents or young children at home that requires constant attention?

Regis Medical GP Clinics offer after-hour services in the evening where she can get her 6ME while someone is at home looking after your parents or children. We encourage advance booking of evening time slots for these domestic helpers while someone is at home looking after parents or children.

Can my FDW request for a female Doctor for the physical examination?

Yes, she can. Although in most cases, visual checks on normally exposed body parts (i.e forearms, calf, neck) would be sufficient. Regis Medical GP Doctors will seek her permission should there be a need for further extensive examination.

In the scenario where no female Doctor is on duty, the physical examination will be conducted in the presence of a female clinic assistant.

My FDW can’t converse well in English, can I accompany her during her 6ME?

No. No employers are allowed during a FDW’s 6ME. This is a rule mandated by MOM Singapore.

Our Regis Medical GP Doctors are well trained to handle scenarios where communication is an issue. Your FDW’s 6ME can still be completed.

How will I be notified of the results?

You will be notified via Email.

Can I request for a physical copy of the medical examination result?

Yes, you can.

What happens if my FDW misses or failed her medical examination?

She will fail her work permit application or MOM will revoke her work permit. She will be sent back to her home country.
