MOM Measles Vaccine Requirement
Effective from 1 September 2025, all employers of migrant domestic workers (MDWs) in Singapore must ensure that their helper has documented immunity against measles if there is a child under 7 years old in the household who is not fully vaccinated.
This new regulation aims to protect young children—who are at higher risk of severe measles complications—from potential transmission within the household. Measles is highly contagious and can lead to pneumonia, brain inflammation, and even death in severe cases.
By ensuring your helper is protected, you're helping prevent the spread of measles to vulnerable family members.
Employers with children below seven years old in the household will be required to declare the following information at the point of the MDW’s work permit issuance (for new MDWs) or renewals (for existing MDWs) from 1 September 2025:
- The MDW is already vaccinated or immune to measles;
- or All children below seven years old in the household have been fully vaccinated;
- or The MDW has not been vaccinated but a vaccination appointment has been booked for the MDW.

General Enquiry
From 1 September 2025, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) requires all employers of MDWs to ensure their helper has documented measles immunity if there is a child under 7 years old in the household who is not fully vaccinated. This protects young children, who are at higher risk of severe complications such as pneumonia, brain inflammation, or death from measles.
The vaccine is required for:
- All MDWs entering or already working in households with children under 7 years old who are not fully vaccinated against measles.
- Helpers without documented proof of prior measles vaccination.
- Helpers with possible waning immunity, confirmed through a Measles IgG antibody test.
The measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine is priced at $70 nett per dose. Two doses, taken 28 days apart, are usually required. In some cases, only one dose may be sufficient—our doctors will advise based on your helper’s vaccination history.
If your helper cannot provide proof of measles vaccination, a Measles IgG Antibody Test can be done to confirm immunity. The test costs $100 nett with results available in 3–5 working days.
Yes. The MMR vaccine has been widely used for decades and is considered safe and effective. Mild side effects such as soreness at the injection site, low-grade fever, or mild rash may occur but resolve quickly.
You can easily book via WhatsApp or call our hotline at +65 8118 5298. Same-day appointments may be available depending on doctor availability.
Yes. MOM allows employers to declare that a vaccination appointment has been scheduled for the MDW. You may pre-book the slot with us and bring your helper once she arrives in Singapore.
Employers must declare measles immunity status at work permit issuance or renewal. Without proof of immunity or a booked appointment, the application may not be approved by MOM. Ensuring vaccination helps protect both your helper and your children.
