General
A Student Pass medical check-up is a health screening required by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) in Singapore for international students applying for or renewing a Student Pass. It ensures the applicant is medically fit and free from infectious diseases.
The standard tests usually include:
- Physical examination by our doctor
- Chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis
- Blood tests for HIV and syphilis
- Other tests if specified by ICA or the school
The consultation and blood test typically take 10–15 minutes. If a chest X-ray is required, it may be done at our partner imaging centres. Results are generally ready within 1–3 working days.
Please bring:
- Passport
- ICA medical examination form (if provided)
- Any relevant medical records, if available
No fasting is required for the standard Student Pass medical check-up. If you choose to combine this with a general health screening, fasting may be needed for cholesterol or glucose tests.
Yes. We will complete the ICA medical report in the required format, signed and stamped by our doctor. The report will be returned to you for submission to ICA or your school, unless otherwise instructed.
If any abnormal findings are detected, our doctor will explain the results and advise on next steps. Depending on the condition, ICA may request further testing or clarification before approving the Student Pass application.
