General
An Employment Pass medical test is a health screening required by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore for certain EP applications or renewals. The test ensures the applicant is medically fit to work and free from specific communicable diseases.
The standard EP medical test usually includes:
- Physical examination by our doctor
- Chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis
- Blood test for HIV and syphilis
- Additional tests (if specified by MOM), such as pregnancy testing for female workers in certain industries
The in-clinic consultation and sample collection usually take about 10–15 minutes. Chest X-ray is done at our partner imaging centres. Results are typically ready within 1–3 working days.
Please bring the following:
- NRIC, FIN, or passport
- Official LTVP medical form (if provided by ICA/MOM)
- Any previous medical records, if relevant
Our clinic will provide the official medical report in the format required by MOM. We will stamp, sign, and return the completed form to you. You will then submit it to MOM as part of your EP application. Some cases may allow electronic submission depending on MOM’s instructions.
No fasting is needed for the standard EP medical test. If you are combining it with additional health screenings (e.g. glucose, cholesterol), our doctor may recommend fasting beforehand.
If a communicable disease or abnormal finding is detected, our doctor will explain the results and provide follow-up advice or referral. Depending on MOM’s regulations, abnormal results may affect the outcome of your Employment Pass application.
