General

What is an S Pass medical check-up?

An S Pass medical check-up is a health screening required by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore for applicants or renewals of an S Pass. It ensures that the applicant is medically fit to work and does not carry certain communicable diseases.

What tests are included in the S Pass medical check-up?

The standard S Pass check-up usually includes:

  • Physical examination by our doctor
  • Chest X-ray to screen for tuberculosis
  • Blood tests for HIV and syphilis
  • Additional tests if required by MOM, such as pregnancy tests for female applicants in certain industries
How long does the S Pass medical check-up take?

The consultation and blood tests usually take about 10–15 minutes. If a chest X-ray is required, it may be done at our partner imaging centres. Results are typically available within 1–3 working days.

What documents should I bring for the check-up?

Please bring:

  • Passport, FIN, or NRIC
  • MOM-issued medical form (if provided)
  • Any previous medical records, if applicable
Can my medical results be sent directly to MOM?

Yes. Our clinic will provide the medical report in the official format required by MOM. It will be signed, stamped, and returned to you for submission. In some cases, electronic submission may be available depending on MOM’s instructions.

Do I need to fast before the S Pass check-up?

No fasting is required for the standard S Pass medical check-up. If you are combining it with additional health screening (such as cholesterol or glucose testing), our doctor may advise fasting.

What happens if my results are abnormal?

If your results show a communicable disease or other abnormal findings, our doctor will explain the results and advise on further steps or treatment. Depending on MOM regulations, abnormal results may affect your S Pass approval or renewal outcome.
